Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage key research activities for the designated DBT-sponsored project.
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments in fields like biotechnology and molecular biology.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret scientific data, preparing detailed progress reports and technical summaries.
- Collaborate effectively with the Principal Investigator (PI) and other research staff to meet project milestones.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Assist in preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Ensure all research activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Senior Project Scientist: A Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences; OR a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology; OR an MBBS/BDS/M.Pharm degree with demonstrable research experience.
- Associate Project Scientist: A Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or Medicine/Pharma.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 45 years old. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience in a research environment, particularly on government-funded projects.
- Practical knowledge of techniques related to recombinant protein production or molecular biology.
- Familiarity with research protocols, data management, and scientific documentation.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative research team.
Salary and Benefits
This temporary position offers a competitive consolidated monthly salary based on qualifications and project guidelines.
- Senior Project Scientist: ₹66,080 per month (includes ₹56,000 base + 18% HRA).
- Associate Project Scientist: ₹57,820 per month (includes ₹49,000 base + 18% HRA).
Note: This is a contract-based post for the duration of the project. No other allowances will be provided.
